Gadgets: All I Want For Christmas is a Plasma TV
Posted November 25, 2006 4:29 PM
Gone are the days when those crystal clear gorgeous plasma TV’s cost the same as a sturdy three year-old Toyota with fewer than 70,000 miles on it. Plasma’s, LCD’s and DLP’s were the future and the future is now. Over the past two years we’ve been noticing that great quality picture plasma’s have been coming way down in price. We’ve seen some come down as far as the fifteen hundred dollar range for 42 inch screens. In the not-so-old days, Mitsubishi and Sony were the standard for best picture quality in the world of TV. That’s not the case any longer.

Panasonic and Samsung have flexed their viewing muscle and have great pictures as well as great reliability. True there seems to be disagreements over which technology is the best among the three, however, this Christmas we here at Guyville are suggesting the Panasonic TH-42 inch Plasma HDTV for a mere $1,279. That’s one of the lowest prices you’ll see for a plasma of this quality and size. One of the cool features of this unit is a built in SD card slot so you can share your favorite JPEG photos. We here at Guyville pride ourselves on knowing what guys want, and one of the best guy gifts you can give your man is a big screen TV. Bearing a plasma as a gift this holiday season, we figure, is second only to driving a sleek red Ferrari with a bow around it into the driveway for the holidays. Let’s face it would you rather drop two-hundred thousand dollars on a gift for him this year, or a mere $1,279? We’re pretty sure we know the answer to that question. For his birthday toss in a comfy recliner and a keg and he’ll be the happiest boy on the block!
