If you have kids you are probably accustomed to the usual nagging from the wife of, "honey, did you remember to bring the mini-dv camera for Sally's recital?!" Subconsciously you absolutely remembered to purposely forget it because you have no desire to deal with the mini dv tapes and transferring them over to a DVD format or find your fire wire cable to import it into your system so you can then burn a DVD of it. So you explain to your wife that while you forgot the mini-dv cam you did remember to bring your
digital camera to shoot some stills.

That gets you a swift and strong slug to the arm accompanied by the name-calling of moron and jackass. Who needs that heartache, pain and embarrassment? Clearly, if she really loves you and wants to buy her man a useful guy gift this holiday season, then she’ll fork over a measly hundredish bucks for the Pure Digital PSV 60 Minute Point-and-shoot Camcorder this year. I played with this thing at my brother’s
house and loved its simplicity. It has a nice little 1.4 inch color playback screen with audio and an hour of recording capability. The best part is when you’re ready you simply plug the built in USB connector arm and upload instantly into your pc or Mac. Sure the zoom isn’t quite as zoomy as more expensive consumer dv camera, but it’s not bogged down with a bunch of techno crap you’ll never use either. For the money, this is the greatest little video device we’ve seen and it’s so compact and easy to use, you’ll
never have to make up excuses as to why you left the camcorder at home again.
