Chris Daughtry didn't need to win American Idol to get noticed. Cream always rises to the top and though he was always a fan favorite and while we cringed when he was ousted and outlasted by Elliot Yamin, we always somehow knew he'd find his way back to the top. While it seems hard to believe that he turned down an offer to be the front man for an already successful band, Fuel, Daughtry will ultimately have the last laugh.

His debut album, "Daughtry" shows he has the chops to do this at the top of the game and do it better than Fuel fans might have expected. His vocals seem reminiscent of Scott Stapp from Creed and Chad Kroeger from Nickelback though with a sound that is still somehow unique and all his own. If you haven't yet checked out this CD, give it a listen. The first track, "It's Not Over" jumps out and throttles you and it continues to rock your socks off right through track twelve. If you're looking for a great gift for any man, woman, child that loves AI or just rock, period, then you won't disappoint with Chris's new CD.
