Random: American Idol is Killing Me

Yeah, I'm straight, don't even go there. Oh no you din't! Anyway, I'm sitting here on my derrier watching Sanjaya Malakrap sing on tonight's American Idol, if one could even have the courage to call it singing, and I'm wondering how far this horrific kid can go in this sacred competition. I was supposed to write a guy gift review, but I can't fathom gifts for him while I'm this pissed off. In reality I think there's like three good people in this top twelve. I'm a mediocre singer at best and can belt out The Doors as well as the next drunkard at the Karaoke bar down the street, but this kid Malakrud makes William Hung sound decent for crying out loud!

I have to wonder what a guy like Chris Daughtry thinks when he sees this kid getting voted through week in and week out. Ah, what's he care...he's used the stage and is a bonafide rock star now anyway. Listen, if you're at all a fan of the show, we gotta figure a way to get this kid off once and for all. If I have to watch another week of Malastench stinking up the stage, I'll go back to listening to my CD collections and take a break from the show. I'm tired of throwing up in my mouth listening to this kid. I watched AI for the first two years or so, but haven't since. For much of the same reasons. Tired of all these people that aren't nearly as good at they think they are. However, at least that has some entertainment value.
What I really got sick of was the time it took out of my life. Two to three nights a week, for at least an hour at a time. I was amazed of how they could stretch 10 minutes of actual entertainment into an hour show.
I'm a regular reader of guyville and I just want to say, you hit the nail on the head. This Sanjaya kid is absolutely the worst singer ever! After his performance last night I thought Simon was going to get up and personally toss this pansy ass out of the theater...seriously America how dare you keep him in the race...this isn't Claynation again is it?
And how is this relevant on a "guy-centric" site? As if any self respecting guy would admit to what clearly amounts to an unhealthy Idol obsession (note I said "admit"...). Top that off with the "oh no you din't" and I'm thinking this writer would be great blogging for CosmoGirl or Guys With Vaginas Quarterly.
