This is it right here guys. You've been listening to all of the "do this" and "do thats" of hitting on chicks for years, not to mention all the "do nots," that seem to follow either the pick up line route or the indifferent/relaxed track (the latter usually working better). Pick up lines are all good and fun if you're a pimp or look like you have lots of money, but for most of us the best way is to come off as being social... and at least a little interested.

Talking to a woman about whatever and maintaining a nonchalant posture, physically and conversationally, is important. You obviously can't act uninterested in the conversation because that will get you nowhere. It should all be a show of reserved confidence. Another key thing to keep in mind guys, eye contact. If you're looking to meet a girl, make eye contact and hold it till she looks away, but make sure to check and notice if she's smirking or smiling (that's the first foot in the door). Also take this time after she looks away to check out her body so you wont have to later. Now there are two ways to do the rest of this, you begin an approach (not recommended) or, if you have a friend along or can occupy yourself with some others for a while, look to notice if she keeps looking back at you (should happen if the eye contact was on). Make sure and position yourself to use your peripheral to check. After a few glances from her turn to make eye contact again. It's important here to really connect with her through your look, making sure you look at HER not her body, as well as convey your interest in a casual/confident manner. After you break that look you can turn back to whatever you were doing previously. Just give it a few after that second glance and you can break and go up and start the conversation. Casual and confident, the two key ingredients and guys, as hard as it can be, you gotta let the refusals go and maintain your confidence; learn from them at the very least. Don't feel dumb reading up on the subject too it will help.
