Random: Black Friday Should Really Be Ten Days Earlier...But Still On A Friday...
Posted November 21, 2007 9:06 AM
The first big stop on the shopping countdown is only a couple days away and some game planning is in order. It's not like you're going to be alone out there and it won't matter how much Sunday (?) night football you've been watching, you're not going to get through the line without some kind of structure. We've got five rules that should help at least a little in there (rabies shots aren't listed but that should have happened a while ago, get in the game).
5 Tips For Surviving Black Friday
1. Eat light on Thursday. I know. Hah. But eating light will mean a
good night's sleep, which will mean you'll be a lot less grumpy than
the shopping zombies at 6 AM.
2. Team up. Find 3 other friends nuts enough to brave the crowds and
go with them. The whole thing will be more fun if you go together, and
if you park together.
3. Use plastic. Don't carry cash. It's just a pain to carry around and
manage.
4. Have a plan. Know what you're buying, where you're going, and when.
The plan will change, but it'll reduce your stress.
5. Buy as much online as you possibly can. Seriously. Why join the
other nut cases if you can just do your holiday shopping on Cyber
Monday?
