Gifts: Geek Week Gifts

Posted December 11, 2007 9:56 AM

As holiday shopping continues in full swing we present a solid round up on interesting gadgets from the guys at ThinkGeek. Now don't be frightened off by the name, these are some geeks who know where it's at. They've got a selection of gadgets and gizmos that any guy would be envious of, are envious of if they've visited the site before. This particular gift selection we've collected features gifts for the office guy, along with a few geek extras that are definitely worth checking out. And ruining our office guy gift theme, but hey sometimes you just need to get up on stuff.

And here you go!

Horntones MP3 Automod: With so many cars and all the driving you do it's a wonder you haven't seen this around more. But now you will. Have some fun driving with this MP3 car megaphone that lets you bump 256 megabytes of music at a time. To add more you just connect the USB cable and you're all set. Definitely a fun guy gift.

3 Port Car Outlet Expander with USB: Long trips, short trips, it doesn't really matter if you've got a lot of gadgets operating on your person. This outlet expander plugs into the existing outlet and makes three, along with a USB port for charging your iPod or whatever else you usually charge from the computer. This will come in handy.

Turbocell Charger: Another charging fix though this one's a little more portable. You won't have to be by your car to make sure your phone is up and running, or by anything for that matter. No more phone worries. Unless it breaks. Here's where you can fix that though.

The ThinkGeek Annoy-a-tron: If you like to have fun at the office, be it friendly or otherwise, this thing will annoy the crap out of people. It has a couple different frequencies options that go off in intervals ranging from two minutes to eight minutes and coupled with its size this thing is not going to be found easily either.

Ambient Forecasting Umbrella: You have to really enjoy being warm and dry to get this, but it's worth every penny. It receives forecasts every day so your umbrella will know the weather for you. The only thing left for you to do is carry it and check the battery (one C battery).

Gamercize GZ Sport: Talk about a novelty product. Exercise and gaming have finally been bonded and it's solid too. The way these (there's a cycle version too) work is by plugging into your PS2 and routing the controller through them. Then you start exercising and every time your pace falls below a certain point (can be changed with the intensity dial) it disconnects your controller until you get back to pace. You'll really get a workout. Awesome.

TV-B-Gone: This is just a fun thing to have if you don't mind screwing with people. Or more than not minding but actually enjoy doing so. Either way it would have helped this guy out a bunch.
