Fitness: Fitness Redefined As Fun
Posted December 3, 2007 9:48 AM
The Wii Fit is here! To buy that is because it sure isn't being released in the US of A anytime soon (next year?). What's up with that? Doesn't the entire world know about our country's weight problem? And here we are thinking the Japanese are all knowing in the business world (they are).

The Wii Fit looks like it'll be worthwhile to say the least though. We're not so sure on the dancing game, but it sure will make getting in shape a bunch more fun. You can have your own personal TV trainer without any annoyingly upbeat personalities to harass you into buying more of their workout series. Of course the real reason to be hopping on this (quite literally) is for when they make the skiing and snowboarding games. The pressure sensitive Wii board will work great for those. Even better will be for when incorporate the Wiimote into the games with Wii Fit. I'm thinking James Bond skiing down the slopes with an uzi? It could work. Or even a Myst/Riven-like game where puzzles become even more intensely layered and complex, having to use both to solve intense mind games. The possibilities will just keep growing with this thing, and trust us it's worth the extra buck to get it before its official USA release, at least if you're savvy enough to navigate a game in a different language. We're not sure if the English setting is complete in the Japanese version, but the actual game play doesn't require that you know Japanese. Just something to be aware of in case that is the case, you soon to be fit guys, unless of course you don't like Nintendo's Wii like some kind of Wiitard.
