Random: Welcome To The New Year!
Posted January 2, 2008 10:25 AM
It's 2008 and we're all still here, guess that means you DO have to go through with those new years resolutions. Yes it sucks, but just think what a better person you'll be after the couple weeks/months that you actually stick with it! Okay fine, maybe you'll stay true through the whole year and good for you, but honestly can the majority of us say we will? Yes, we can say that, but no not honestly. Maybe that's due in part to what we're telling ourselves we're going to do to change ourselves, like "oh i'm going to eat healthier this year" or "I'm going to workout so I can look good" or maybe you thought you'd resolve to help others and the environment, go "more green." If it was the latter then you're on the right track, if not then resolve to find out more.
There's nothing wrong with these resolutions. In fact they're very popular. We grabbed a list of those popular resolutions from usa.gov, courtesy of those beautiful runway bureaucrats:
* Lose Weight
* Pay Off Debt
* Save Money
* Get a Better Job
* Get Fit
* Eat Right
* Get a Better Education
* Drink Less Alcohol
* Quit Smoking Now
* Reduce Stress Overall
* Reduce Stress at Work
* Take a Trip
And of course
* Volunteer to Help Others
Well since volunteering to help others is so popular, but still last on the list, it's probably good that someone point out how fruitless it is to be and become sexy (pretty much the rest of the list).
Oh really? Well here's a new years resolution, since it's so tough for the people that are already beautiful, how about we all go rough them up and make them ugly. We'll be more beautiful compared to them and the beauties won't have to live in the lime light any more, those poor beautiful people.
There's nothing quite like new years for new tears, sock it too 'em.
Or they could run into a brick wall a few times, their choice.
